Off-road in the Pyrenees?
 

There seems to be a lot of chatter in the UK at the moment that Spain has banned all off-road driving. I've been merrily driving on tracks as long as there's not a sign to say otherwise.

Can we use the power of the HUBB to get an accurate up to date view of the situation from our Spanish friends?

I think it would be difficult to ban off-roading given that there are probably more tracks than roads in Spain. Some off-roading is limited between June - October in forestry zones or places at higher risk of fire.

Here's a linkey for current legislation (all in Spanish) - LOS MOTEROS DEL SUR ECOLOGISTA & AMVER ANDALUCÍA - ENDURO-QUAD-ATV-TRIAL-TRAIL-OFFROAD - LEGISLACIÓN ESPAÑOLA - there are different laws for different provinces. If you Babel it you can get a rough idea of what the restrictions are in each area.

I'm sure all the local Quadbike tour companies and Trials bike riders will have something to say about that. They don't take this sort of crap lying down like us Brits.

Great place for trailriding, just stick to the trails as you would in the UK etc.
