motorcycle rental in Switzerland
 

Hello Peoples,

I'm off for a quick trip to Switzerland in about a month's time. The primary reason for the trip is to see my girlfriend and 'meet the family'...
but, since I'm in Switzerland I thought i'd combine a few loves - We hope to hire a motorbike and do a bit of touring. Unfortunately it will only be for about one week as I only have 3 weeks off from work in total.

So does anyone here have any advice on the best place to hire a motorcycle in Switzerland?
Here's a bit of criteria:
I will be based in the North Eastern (I think) part of the country so I think Zurich is the closest (1 hour away) bigger city.
I'm not too fussy on what I ride - (ie i don't need the latest and greatest and brand new from bmw or something..) so I'm hoping to find something that won't break the bank..
Needs to be comfortable for two up (I'm hoping this trip will help my gf see the benefits iand begin to share the passion I have for mcycle travel.... biggers plans for the future..)
Panniers would be nice..

There is a rental company called adventure motorcycle tours- I think their site was rental-motorcycle 'dot' com and they operate in quite a few countries, Switzerland being one of them-
Zurich office show they have Honda's
Geneva Oberen. and Thun show they have BMW's
KTM and Yamaha in Oberen. (looks like that has the most choice)
You may be able to negotiate a different bike at a different location by prior arrangement - who knows! ask!
