motorcycle friendly stay in Greece and Italy?

We will make a 10 days trip from Istanbul to Italy. Here are the cities we will stay for 1 night.

Any safe hotel recommendations are welcome and needed.

somewhere around Thessaloniki (GR)

somewhere around NAPOLI (IT)

somewhere around ROMA (IT)

around Tuscany (IT) (Siena, Cinqoue Terre, etc...)

P.S. we also have tent and sleeping bags for nice spots we can camp.

Thanks in Advance

Hi Salcon, I would also be interested in advice about Thessaloniki area. I am not going to be carrying camping equipment - too much weight already ! I will be crossing from Bulgaria around August 25th - probably then going in to Turkey as far as Ephesus and then back across Greece to Italy, so I could possibly need another night in the area on the way back. Also, do you know if the Bulgarian and Turkish borders are particularly difficult in either direction ? I assume the Greek side is fine of course http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif

Bergunt,

can't remember where I stayed in Siena, believe it was "Camping Colleverde" whith a bus going into Siena.

For Firenze (also very beautiful) try the campsite in FiƩsolo called "Camping Panoramico" in top of a hill. Also with a bus connection to the city.

Thanks - I will be in touch. I am expecting to pick up a temporary pillion making her own way ( with helmet ! ) from Athens to Thessaloniki so I need to coordinate with her first.
