Milan: Campsites nearby and Vespa rental.

Buongiorno. I am hopefully going to the Milan Furniture Fair at the end of April and thought it would be fun (and cheap) to camp. So to that end, does anyone know of a campsite in or around Milan?

Also a 50cc Vespa would be a nice way of getting about for a few days, anyone know a rental agency that are good?

Google is exhausted with my search efforts and so is the HUBB search box.

Thanks guys and gals

You could try camping at Monza which is really just a suburb of Milan.

Have you not considered hostels?

I've stayed in a few in Italy and most are OK. You'll be looking at around £20-25 a night inc. breakfast though there's a couple I stayed in that charged extra for it.

I've never been into Milan city centre, purely because the parking is supposed to be difficult and very expensive. Nearest hostel to Milan that I've stayed in was Bergamo and I believe there's decent public transport links into Milan city centre.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
