The Rio del Cares walk is great...

Walk 6110 - Rio Cares Gorge - Spain - a detailed walk description from Walking Europe

I started in the village of Cain. It's a bit out of the way but the roads around there are amazing.

a treat the Parador Cervera de Pisuerga grab a room overlooking the lake stunning.

Leon is a great place to amble around and spend some time

Santiago de Compostela watching the pilgrims arrive is worth a visit, the last time i was there, a summers evening it was like a carnival in the square.

Or if you prefer the more active go on a mountain bike tour or a hiking tour , lots of places do them for most abilities. Me a prefer to sit out side with a glass of wine and watch the world go by !!

walking the Cares Gorge is well worth the effort (allow all day) & the cable car at Fuente De gives you access to some great views, if you like to wander follow the path to the 'refuge' for fantastic scenery & some local food.
The Picos are stunning, enjoy your trip.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
