Lerwick to Torshavn

Hi All!

Has anybody infos about ferries between Lerwick and Torshavn (Shetland and Faroe Islands)

I want to make a short trip from Hungary to Iceland, but would like to visit Scottland first. I know, there is no ferries directly from UK to Iceland...

Thanks!!!

Timetables covering 2010 for the boat to the Orkney and Shetland Islands

from aberdeen Northeast coast of scotland to lerwick

Smyril Line is the ferry service that used to run from lerwick to torhavn but as far as I know no longer stops at lerwick.

Heres another site that tells you how to get from denmark to UK, its england but the UK is a small place you can drive up to scotland in a day.

Hi!

Thanks a lot for your reply. It seems the "only way" to get to Iceland from Denmark

I was looking to go to Iceland last year via Shetland but they stopped calling in to Shetland and Scrabster(mainland Scotland). The only way i could have gone was via Denmark,I decided not to go as it was a bike trip I was going on no a cruise!I would have been at sea for most of my trip

Ferry

The only way to Faroe and Iceland is from Hanstholm in the North of Danmark.Smyril Line used to run to Bergen, and Lerwick but dropped these ports in 2007.Come to Shetland instead from Aberdeen, Northlink Ferries.

Thanks for all reply!

Now, I see Iceland and Scottland are two different biketours, it must be separated, because I don't want to sailing too much on a bike travel

Thanks again!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
