Leaving motorcycle in Eastern Europe

I am travelling around the world with a Japanese registered motorcycle and currently I am in Europe.

I am thinking to leave my motorcycle in an Estern Europe country (such as Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania etc), but I am wondering if I can leave the motorcycle there and leave the counry without it.

I heard that for non-EU registered motorcycle, Bulgaria Custom put a stamp on the passport about the importation of the motorcycle.

However, my friend with Ecuadorian registered motorcycle has recently entered Bulgaria from Romania and did not get a stamp on his passport.

So could anyone tell me in which country I could leave my motorcycle and leave without it?

Also any information where I could store my motorcycle will be appreciated.

Thank you so much!

hello Saburo,

actually, I have also no idear of getting a stamp in your passport, when incoming with a motorbike. But I never heard about it. Interesting is the membership of EU or not. So Bulgaria and Romania are a members, Croatia not. But Bulgaria and Romania are no Schengen Countries (Schengen Area - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

Not much... but maybe a little help

Some countries stamps in passports have a car symbol on them. Many think it means they entered with a vehicle. It does not !

It means they entered at a road border.

You get the same stamp at those road borders whether you are a vehicle owner/driver, vehicle passenger, on a bus or coach, on a bicycle or on foot.

hi Saburo. I think there is no problem to leave your bike in Poland. You will not get any stamp into your passport. As a PL is in "Schengen countries" there is no border control when you entering from Slovakia, Germany, Czech. Im from Warsaw and have some space in my room for extra bike :)

No problems to keep your bike in Poland if you decide so I can connect you to my friend in Warsaw.
