KTM 690 stolen in Dublin.
I've been in the country for less then 8 hours. This was supposed to be the 2nd leg of my RTW. My 2010 KTM 690 was taken from the corner of Talbot Place and Talbot street in Dublin in broad daylight. I was in a near by hostel resting after an overnight flight. I put a padlock through the front break but they cut the lock with a bolt cutter. Obviously it wasn't enough. There was no luggage on it at the time.

I have hopefully hellpbed by posting this in a few other places. Unfortunately I doubt my XF650 Thumper would be of any use to you.

Details and picture of your bike has been put up on many local sites and I understand that Dublin police have a "watch out for this bike" message regularly going out to all patrols. Not necessary to say what we all think of the lowlife who do these things. Liam |

Well I am from Dublin so I know what Im talking about,
you cant leave your bike anywhere or It'll end up being lashed around a field. and then burned out, Its completely out of control at the moment. Recently lads being pulled off bikes at traffic lights and lads getting their heads kicked in and their bikes robbed. If thats not a shit hole what is? No apologies for my comment |

Not sure if your monitoring this. I saw you were staying in Isaacs but when I rang this morning you had checked out. Shity thing to have happen and despite what others say - its not a fair reflection of Dublin or Ireland. I'm based just outside Dublin and can loan you a bike to see Ireland on while you're waiting to get yours back. Just PM me on this site or email me on ian.x.cassidy at gmail.com.
