Kosovo?
 

I'll be riding from Skopje to Dubrovnik this spring, so I have no choice but crossing Kosovo.

What is the current situation there? Is it halfway safe by now? Will I find decent accomodation, gas, and food without problems?

Please, no panic shrieks from the homebodies, especially if you have nothing to offer but hearsay and half a decade old TV news.

I'd prefer competent comments from people who live there or have been there recently. Any and all expert advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

i heard from a reliable source who spent all of last summer in prishtina that things are ok, really dusty, but ok. you should have no problems with that city. as far as lodging etc, i am unsure.

I was talking with friends of mine who are refugees from that region a few weeks ago about the possibility of moto travel through there this summer - their comment was that the security situation is a bit fluid, it can vary depending on what is happening, so it might be best for you to keep your eye on the news. Not sure where you are located, but if you are in Europe, it should be pretty easy to follow things from the newspaper.

Food, housing, etc. no problem in Pristina, but could be a dice roll outside of the big city.
