Knobblie tyre shop needed, Odessa Ukraine

Can anyone recommend somewhere in Odessa (or there abouts) where I might be able to aquire 2 sets of Knobblie-esc tyres, one for a Transalp 650 and the other for a Suz DRZ400?

Conti TKC's would be ideal, but any equivalent will do. We'll be hitting the Stans after Ukraine and, especially in Tajikistan, want to do some dirt track exploration.

Cheers in advance!

tires

I do not know exactly, but bike dealers will likely be your best bet, their is always the ' avtobazar ' авто базар which is open 6 days and half day on Sundays. You may want to arrange pre shipping to avoid having to shop. hopefully someone else will be able to be more precise.

Get Mefo Super Explorers or Heidenau K60s if you can. They will last much better. You wont have much tread left on a TKC80 by Tajikistan if you fit it in Odessa. And the only place you really need that tread is actually Tajikistan.

I fitted new Super Explorers in Yalta (Crimea) and the tread on them was still very good for faffing about in Tajikistan. I carried them to Yalta.

I can think of only one place, and that's in Moldova which sounds like the wrong direction for you. Let me know if you do want the details.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
