Got 3 - 4 weeks, what to do?

Hello,
me, myself and my mate are looking for a nice little bike tour of about three weeks in the summer.

Personally I would like to visit Eastern Europe (never got farther than Berlin), but so far I have no idea what's worth the while. We will be traveling on street Bikes (Kawa ER-5 and probably a Suzuki SV 650) so offroading is pretty much out of the picture.

A good thing would be relatively cheap cost of living, combined with some good nightlife. We are prepared to camp outdoors for the most part but a decent hostel or the like once in a while would be good and off course the bikes will need gas.

I'm not looking for a fully planed tour, but some pointers would be greatly appreciated, before I head out and buy a full load of guide books! We start from Frankfurt/Main in Germany and the first stop will be Berlin. After that we'll see.

Cheers

Don't know about nightlife, but Poland has lots of scenery, esp. from Gdansk eastwards and south-east (Lake district). I suppose Gdansk should offer some good nightlife. Additionally to that it's worthwhile to take a look around town by daylight ;-) Then in the south-east you'll find Krakow with its old town centre, and just south of that the beautiful Tatra Mts. Cut across to Slovakia and Czek Rep. These countries are all much less pricier than Western Europe.

Baltic States?

3-4 weeks will allow you enough time to reach the Baltic States. Well worth visiting. Great roads and relatively cheap.

If you go through Slovakia drop me an email as I will be zipping down there on my bike in July then slowing down to head to the Balkans. My girlfriend is from Slovakia and we have a house there. We will be staying there at the start of the trip and at the end.If the timing is right you are welcome to stay the night,Gratis !with breakfast thrown in(that goes for anyone else on 2 wheels who will be around at that time). It is situated in central Slovakia 'ish'.
No nightlife but great country side and cheap beer !As most countries down that way the capitals are best for nightlife.

I went down to Slovenia and Croatia last september from the UK. Fantastic roads, cheap accomodation and food.
