I am trying to find if it is possible to put my bike on the train Brussels-Bordeaux?

Anyone know this system?

Sam.

Sam

Take a look here:

There are plenty of options, load your bike in Brussels for Bordeaux or load in Paris / Lille.... I live in Gent so Lille is easiest. You can even travel on the same train as your bike or collect it from the desired station. If you contact SNCF they have a booking agent in Brussels (sorry I lost the number).

The French train service is incredibly cheap (out of season) Calais to Bordeaux €20 !! check out :

Maybe you find a cheaper way to ship you bike, my local hauler is happy to move my bike around for a reasonable price.

good luck

I JUST CONTACT the belgian railroad and they don,t do this no more from Belgium, but you can go from Holland, they start from s,hertogenbosch (between Tilburg and Utrecht) just call Euro-Express Treincharter, their telephone number in Holland is 015/2133636.
That,s the information I have so far.
Maybe see you someday somewhere.
So long.

Chris,

I was just looking on the SNCF website, they don't show Calais or Lille as a car port, but when I spoke to them it was possible to take a bike. I think bikes are loaded as freight.

As for transport from Brussels they gave me a contact telephone number !! however nobody replies !!!

Cheers
Matt
