Ferry's from UK to Norway?

It seems there no longer a ferry from the UK direct to Norway. Fjord Line no longer sail and DFDS quit last year. I spent at least an hour on google with no luck.

Does anyone know who sails direct to Norway?

Thanks, Bob

I checked last summer and there wasn't an option. Think your only option is to get to Holland/Denmark and head up.

Sucks, there have been some rumours, but I haven't seen anything yet.

DFDS does run a direct line from Immingham But be aware.

This service is for trucks and there is very limited cabin space. Even if you have booked your passage and have your paperwork in your hand. If a truck turns up while you are waiting to get on the ferry. He will get the last place and you will watch the boat sail.

They obviously get a lot more money by getting a truck on board than a bike.

There are 2 bunks to a cabin and for whatever reason DFDS would not let you share with the lorry driver.

I know this because it happened to me and I had to stay in Immingham for 3 days, waiting to get a boat.

The alternative is Harwich to Esbjerg, up the coast to Hirtshals and then on to Norway.

I would go for the second. I am still getting over spending 3 days in Immingham and that was 3 years ago.

Take the bridge from Denmark to Norway.............

I really wish they would stop slipping this construction work in over the winter.:mchappy:

But I do assume you mean the bridge from Denmark to Sweden.

I would take the ferry unless you really like lots of trees.

I have done that Denmark-Sweden Öresund bridge quite a few times before realizing it's actually an agony. Not so much the crossing part, but riding from Malmö (Sweden) and up to Norway (border at Svinesund) or the other way is *extremely* boring. From now on I opt for the ferries if I can.

Hey Indu

I'm thinking of going to nordkapp in july, and then visiting my mate in sweden. Any advice on the route, I'm also sick of the bridge going to malmo.

Regards
