Corsica in September 2008

Hi everybody,

I'll be on the island during a week (8.-15. September). In case anyone would be then in Corsica we could make a little tour together.
I am just a bit worried about travelling in Southern countries (until now only Scandinavia and Central Europe)... concerning crowded roads, thieves, unsave areas, heatshock in a trafic jam...
Do I have to need something special concerning Corsica and motorcycle? Yeah my little KLE 500 isn't the most expensive bike....but you know what the psychological value is (exactly the thing you cannot explain to your girlfriend).

Have a save trip and see you on the way

Micael

Corsica·s like anywhere else....

Hi there,
Don·t worry .... Be happy.... cause there·s no reason for anything else!
Use Your brains and your common sense and You·ll have an exiting and great trip.
Corsica is fantastic : Food....Roads....Scenery and lots of nice people.
Careful, cause like in all mountain (twisties) areas, people drive a tiny bit wild!
Enjoy....
love and peace,
Dan

Red face Corsica

What a great island, perfect for the bike and in fact 90% of visitors are on bikes (that’s a guess) ... Rode around on my old Tenéré with the wife on the back... no problems just everything else overtook me ... Do stay or certainly visit the north of the island, and explore all the road both on the coast and inland. Really great rides… Great mix of other bikes…. Safe, plenty of places to stay and to eat..

Just be aware the local do cut the corners so don’t take any too wide.

Enjoy

Matt

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
