Campsites in Europe
 

Hi, I am planning to travel throught North France to Italy, through Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and end up in Norway for the boat ride home.I am having trouble finding info on small (read quiet) campsites along the route. Any recommendations would be most welcome, as well as any other comments on the route.

Well, it's not easy to give you recommendations about such a big coverage. I'd suggest you look for something like the ADAC Camping guide [1] from the german motor club. Maybe some other people know what's available in english.

You could also use the search function on the HUBB.

Try www.alanrogers.com for some good campsite guides (you can also buy the books etc).

We have been to most of the countries you mention in your list (apart from the nordic ones!) so I'll have a look and recommend some to you.

the ADAC camping guide usually only recommends bigger camp sites. They offer 2 volumes: southern and northern Europe resp. Wheigh at least a kilo each :-(

I'd just travel along and keep my eyes open or ask the locals for a small/quiet camp site. And camp out in the wild if it suited me...
