Southampton - Catalunya

In preparation for a longer trip for later on in the year (Turkey) I am off to Catalunya, around the mountains, back through Andorra, France and back. Any good roads/interesting places? I haven't had time to plan much.
I'm leaving tomorrow but will look at any replies in a day or so.

Thanx

I've just done Roscoff down to Denia and back via Santander.

The Alto Tajo and the mountains south east are great. We hardly saw a car in 150 miles. Good mix of roads including dirt tracks. There's a good (almost) wild camping spot in the forest that we used if that's your thing.

I'll see if I can post some route details later on (they're on my other PC).

Right... between Orea and Noguera de Albarracin is great if you like mountains, forests and every type of road you can imagine.

We camped at lat=40.5038, lon=-1.6338

Hi,

The best route you could do is going from Cadaques to Viella, doing TransPirineus passing by Ripoll, Puigcerdà, Andorra and Sort.

It takes less than a day and landscapes are very interesting. And then, you could go to Lourdes by Col du Tourmalet and Col d'Aspin, is the best zone i'd ever seen in Pirineus.

I wait to have helped you

Bye,

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
