Buying Motorcycle in Euro

Hi,

I will buy the Motorcycle in Euro.
Could you give me the any advice?

About me.
I'm Japanese. Now I'm traveling in Asia, I will reach the EU several months later. Exactly I don't live in EU.

Questions,
1) Which country it's easy to buy the motorcycle for not EU people?
2) I have heard it's easy to buy motorcycle in Germany. Now it's true?
3) I have to get the Insurance if I buy in Germany? Then, How much it do you know for one year?
4) Which city in Germany it's easy and cheap to buy?

Why I buy the motorcycle?
I want to touring in EU by motorcycle for several months.
Now I guess it's better to buy than rental.

Regards,

Bodylove, how you going with this mate? I too am looking at buying something in Euro - UK looks best for me as I am australian and figure english speaking will be easier. Road blocks I've hit are - registration (you need a local address for documents to go to, but you can do it in your own name).

Still in early stages of planning, would like to hear your story and if your still in euro in July/Aug/Sep we should catch up for a ride!

The prices of UK bikes have just gone up considerably. They say it's to allow for the disparity of the Yen and Euro, which may be true, but it's to stop people coming here from Europe to buy bikes IMHO. It was a good idea in March, not so good now.

Keep us posted

MotoScout24: Motorradmarkt - Motorrad, Roller, Motorräder, Mofa, Moped und Quad-Bikes

I waste hours of internet time on motoscout drooling over GSPDs and Africa Twins that are advertised for reasonable prices. I am sure it is the same for other popular models.

Choice of bikes perhaps less in the UK?

I would also like to start my next trip in Europe, preferably with one of the above puppies. Please let us know how you get along and what was involved e.t.c

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
