Camping in Pyrenees

I'm thinking in traveling around pyrenees next April (the last week).
As I'm on a tight budget, I'm thinking in camping. So... I need to know the average temperatures at night and the probability of snow and rain in late April. Cn someone give some feedback on that?

KR,
Manuel

One word COLD it will be about 2-3C at that time of the year depending on your altitude. I suggest a warm sleeping bag and a good termarest mat. The are has campsites that are not too expensive about 10-12 euro for you the bike and the tent.

You can often stealth camp just off the road side in most places.

There is a bikers' camp site in Anzánigo/Spain. Use www.viamichelin.com to locate the village. You can't miss it once you get to the village: it's on the "main" road and there is the front half of a Sanglas bike sticking out of a tall concrete pillar.

You'll get to meet local, i.e. mainly French, bikers. If you arrive early enough they will do food. Everybody eats at the same table (and the same food, there is no menu). They also have cabins, if I remember right.

Great scenery, although it's out of the Pyrénées proper.

There are good campsites in Ainsa & Huesca, both in Spain.

Thanks guys for your feedback.
BTW, I'm not a biker :-( (sorry). I'll travel by car (LR Discovery). If possible I'll try to do some light off-roading in some dirt tracks.

Regards,
Manuel

I have camped a couple of times in a town called Foix, France just north of the pyranees, on the road out of Andorra, nice place and just on the lake, there are other campsites in the town as well. It is on the RN20 to Paris
