Buying bike in Greece to ride back to UK
 

Hi - I wonder can anyone help with their experience ... !!

I've been travelling for a year and a half and am looking to finish the trip by buying a bike in Greece to ride home through Europe.

I've found some related posts, but am still looking to understand:-

--> will dealers/agents in greece sell me a bike even though I'm non-resident

--> how can I arrange insurance that will cover me for the trip. Is it better to do this through a UK company (where I have an address) or can I do it in Greece or is it possible to get insurance at each border

--> what documents should I make sure to get when buying the bike

I'm looking to buy a 2nd hand bike e.g. Yamaha XT600 for about 1500euro (or less ideally) if that's realistic. Does anyone have recommendations of good places in Greece go to buy the bike?? Athens/Thessaloniki?

Its a long shot but I know there are some greek MC enthusiasts on NSR-World. Its completely different MCs but maybe they know about other bikes as well
