Bike storage in Turkey
 

After 2 years in Africa I am now in Turkey and would like to go to Iran .My problem is that I had an accident and it seems I need a operation of my knee in Germany. My question is, am I allowed to leave Turkey by plane without my bike and how long can I store it in Turkey.
Where is a good place to store it for a month.

Probably you will take the flight from İstanbul, so you have to leave it at customs parking area close to Atatürk Airport or a trustable and acceptable place with an application form called anex-7..

One copy will be stamped by customs authorities with a permission to leave the country without the bike.

Yes, I traveled with Chris all the way from Nairobi, where I met him, up to Turkey. He made it save back to Germany.

You'd be in the EU then and have no problem with permits/customs etc.

Yes,we had great talks in İstanbul with Chris(D), your patient and friendship to accompany a vespa is so appreciated here...

Thats a better solution to keep at motocamp in Bulgaria.No paperwork and thats why some friends also keep their bikes there...The distance must be something about 550 km. to İstanbul..
