bike storage / B&B gothenburg, Sweden
Greetings one and all,
My partner and i are visiting a small island off Gothenburg in july (20th-23rd), and we are trying to find somewhere to safely store my ZRX1100 for 3 nights. we will also be looking to find a cheap B&B in the vicinity of Gothenburg, (maybe we can leave the bike at a bike friendly B&B??) Any suggestions? (sensible ones;-)) Cheers, Andy & Rachel

I get severe cognitive dissonance at the pairing of "Gottenburg" and "cheap."
If all else fails, there's at least one large, friendly bike shop where I'm sure you can leave a bike for a few days. Sorry that I can't remember where it's located, but I found it easily enough (needed a tire), and probably you will too. I'd go directly around back to the repair guys rather than asking at the front desk. This is a reasonable strategy in strange cities, since bike shops have secure storage and don't get all weirded out about motorcycles and motorcyclists. Sometimes paying for some minor maintenance helps smooth things through, and I've never had anyone refuse a tip paid in the universal currency---  . Hope that helps. Mark

Have just email a big bikeshop called vincents, Will see what happens. Speaking of cost, I rode to Are, Sweden, in the middle of the skiing world championships a couple of years ago, when all the seriously rich go, to spend money. That was just plain silly prices, a pint was £8... I lived off BBQ sausages for a week.
