Bike rental in Turkey?

Hi folks,

New to the HUBB and great to be here. Am looking for possible bike rental places that people can recommend in Turkey.

We are headed there in about a week from Canada and had hoped to ship our KLR650 (2000) but the arrangements fell through.

Most of the websites we've come across that have bikes for rent seem quite expensive. We're looking for something prosaic like an older KLR or even simpler that can take off the beaten path two up (we've travelled quite comfortably on ours long distances on logging roads etc)

Not sure if we'll find something but thought it worth a try to ask...any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks very much.

Hi,

Have you checked BMW Motorrad in Istanbul? They are renting bikes:

BMW Motosiklet Türkiye - Hizmetler - BMW Motosiklet Kiralama - Fiyat Listesi

Unfortunately it is in Turkish but to give you an idea:

F650 GS: 1 to 5 days 106 EU / day incl.tax

I think you can figure out the rest yourself, see I'm a good Turkish language teacher

Cheers

Try this link and contact if you like. They're in Antalya and have a good reputation in renting bikes, mostly 'XT's which are suitable for Turkey.

Moto Aslanko

I have a KLR650 (2004) and it is not as common as XT in Turkey.

Stop by for a if you happen to be in and around Izmir.

Hi, there is a bike rental company in Marmaris that rents out XT600E's for about 55 euro a day.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
