Anek Lines - Venice to Igoumenitsa

We're (4 bikes) taking the Anek Lines ferry from Venice to Igoumenitsa in September. Has anyone any experience of this, especially of how the bikes are secured? Is it best to take our own tie-downs?

thanks all!

I took the Minoan ferry from Venice to Igoumenitsa a few years ago and there was no straps supplied . i always carry a long ratchet strap with me so no problem .
Watch the roads in Igoumenista , they have a very slippery surface . I saw at least four bikes go down on the weekend I was there.

Took Anek from Venice to Patras.
They tie and secure down the bike well, themselves.
No need to have a cord imho....

If you think it is not sufficent, ask for more. Sure they will do...

Hi Samy, and all who have replied, thanks! We've got a couple of spare tie downs (we are travelling as light as possible) but good to know they do have tie downs.

Samy, do they use straps or ropes?
