I heard it on the news tonight that some nordic company is thinking about starting cruises from N-America to Greenland and Iceland. Today we only have ferrie going from Iceland to Norway, Fero Islands and Danmark.

This means that it will make live much easier and cheeper for bikers and other travelers that want to travel in Iceland and the Nordic countries.

I will let you know what will happen, but we might have to wait for some time, maybe years.

If I undrestood you corectly the only ferry to Iceland is from Danemark ( company Smiril Line from Faroe ) with four days trip in both directions included two days of stopover on Faroe?? The same ferry flies in midtime to Bergen in Norway to pick passengers up ?? Is there realy no other ferry line to Iceland from mainland Europe?
What about renting bikes in Iceland?

You are right. There is only one ferry going from Iceland to the mainland Europe - Smiril Line.
