Accommodation around St Petersburg and Moscow
 

In a couple of weeks a friend and myself will set out from England for Siberia and since we'll be passing St Petersburg and Moscow we thought it would be rude not to drop in. We'll be on motorcycles and camping for most of the trip but for security and comfort thought a hotel/hostel would be a good idea (and for getting out visas registered). Any recommendations for budget(ish) places to stay where our stuff will be (relatively) secure? Out of town is fine so long as there's a decent rail/metro link.
