a few days to kill
 

Hi all,

my best mate has finally got himself a bike, so we're planning our first ride together. We've booked a long weekend off work next month (sat/sun/mon). We've found ferries crossing Dover to Calais for just £15 each way, so we were thinking of crossing friday night after work, crashing at the F1 in Calais, and having a couple of full days to explore the local region.

So, where is good? Should we head south west and follow the north France coast? head south towards (but not into) Paris, or perhaps go east, into Belgium/Netherlands/Germany?

It'll be his first time on the continent, but I've been many times. He's riding a CBR600F and I'm on a DRZ400s.

Reccomendations for places to go, things to see, people to meet all appreciated, ta!
