110 - cracked roof gutters?

Hi all, wondered if this had happened to anyone elses 110 and if there were any ideas for fixes . . . I kinda knew it would happen, my roofrack is about a foot short of being full length - that is, it stops a ffot back from the windscreen and so I couldn't easily brace it back down to the windscreen sides. With a spare up there, oftentimes some firewood and driving on some super corrigated tracks over here in the USA the gutter has cracked on the drivers side. I guess I'm going to have to get it welded up and perhaps some extra brackets to try and attach the gutter edges to the window frame . . .any ideas or experiences of same?
many thanks

Huey

We saw this on some 110s we rented in South Africa. It confirmed out suspicion that it's always a good idea to brace off the roll-cage. When we were driving along the road, you could put your fingers between the RR and gutter and feel it moving significantly. The mounts to the gutters don't transfer the weight over a large enough area it seems.

Rgds,
Nick.
