Will R65 panniers work for a F650GS
Sorry if this is a stupid questions but I am looking at some R65 panniers and wondering if they would work with a rack from a F650GS I have on my dakar. How standard are the racks and mountings for panniers across bikes?

In a word, no.
Bikes like the F650GS with high exhaust need special bags. The R65 bags were designed for the lower dual exhaust and would need more room behind them than the GS high exhaust allows. Best, John Downs

I dunno John. If you look at the picture here: BMW F650 GS Dakar als Enduro/Reiseenduro in Berlin it looks like once on the rack there is no way that the exhaust could possibly interfere with it. What do you reckon?
