Panniers: Get the best for your situation.

You need to understand your requirements and the terrain that you will be riding before making a decision.

Personally I wanted a pannier/frame combination that is strong enough to support the kit I'm carrying and to support the bike in a minor off situation. But holding the contents securely when I'm not with the bike.

Thats why I went for Metal Mule, mounted on my XT600e. They are far superior to many of the other products out there on the market, plus the staff are helpful and the delivery timescales are accurate.

I advised Ted to get Metal Mules and I think he has put them to a more intensive test than the manufacturers intended!!! And they're still working.

If you have a look on my website (Smokin' Lizard) there is a complete gallery for an overview of there design and mounting process.

If you have any usability questions about Metal Mules, PM me.

thanks for the input

Hi people

Once again, thanks for the input, very helpful. However, as usual with most people money normally has an input in the decision process. I’ve got a budget for the trip, that’s about £6000 and around £1500 to spend on getting the bike and myself ready.

So it looks like I’ll be going for the Zarges Luggage mounted on Touratech frames.

Thanks
Shaun
