Vista Universal Throttle Lock
FYI: I briefly installed a Vista Universal Throttle Lock onto my KLR650, for my pending trip to Sth. America, but quickly took it off. It required shifting the brake lever mount 12mm to the left, and the collar takes up about 8mm on the left of the throttle grip. The bottom line is that having it on resulted in the ball of the brake lever cramping my ring finger, which is uncomfortable.
I figured it would be great to have for the long and uneventful Atacama, but it's probably better to get a slimmer one. It also introduced standard sized fasteners onto an otherwise all metric bike. James Courtier.

Hi,
I know the problem. I just don't have the space on my handlebar. So... I use an elastic band (from the post). It's a low-tec cruise-control but it works. Just put it around the throttle and an other point so it's a bit tight. In an emergency you can still close the throttle. Maarten ------------------ - www.maartensworld.tmfweb.nl - |
