Using Metal Mule panniers with a Touratech rack on an '05 F650GS - Opinions?
Hi
I'm thinking of buying a set of Metal Mule panniers for my '05 F650GS. I read a comment somewhere else on this forum that perhaps the Touratech rack was better constructed and stronger than the one supplied by MM. Is this so? It's certainly cheaper. When I attended the HU UK meeting this year I noticed out of all the F650's with MM panniers, more of them seemed to be using TT racks as opposed to MM ones. Is there something I don't know? Any constructive comments would be welcome. |

The MM rack has a lot more weak points than the TT rack - there are a lot of threads on here detailing why.
Perhaps read the whole thread, but more specifically this post has more detail: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...1-3#post251255 |

Thanks for that.
Very informative. I'll go for the TT racks. |
