This makes it easier on your feet!
I made up some "extenders" for the footpegs as i have a size 12UK or 47 continental foot and the Yamaha ones were a little too small for me. these took about an hour to make adding to the originals, and what a difference! mmmmmm comfy feet!!!!

Nice job mate! I have done something similar, by welding an extra piece but only on the front or the back of the peg. That looks more professional, but.

Professional?.......nah!
I'm a professional bodger! clamped the flat bar in the vice with a fuel injector socket in the middle..( think like a see-saw) and hammered the bar to start the bend, then just beat the heck out of it with a big hammer till it was the right shape..... took the pegs offf the bike, put them on the bench, added metal, two six inch nails to fill gaps, then set MIG welder to NUKE and welded.
played silly sparky beggers with the grinder and cutting wheel to make serrations and then daubed silver paint on. nowt professional there is there? i mean, would a PRO work in a workshop like this? check out the dirt floor! its a :censored: when you drop a carburettor jet! http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/e...s/DSC04763.jpg |
That is Brillant,What a great idea.

good idea martyn
all the best ideas come from workshops like yours, i despise those places you can eat off the floor and theres certificates on the wall for doing courses like "spark plug changing" and "terminal crimping" the sort of place that charges 60 quid an hour labour |
Woohoo! Love the workshop man!
I've got something even more rough but I take my hand and power tools from the study out through the laundry and into the back yard. I was quite surprised to find the metal pegs on my S10 when I removed the rubber foot pegs but they are narrow and I like your thinking!
