Your local riding shop is great for all sorts of riding apparel, especially if you want to stay warm. I wear jodphurs under my riding trousers in the winter and stay lovely and warm.

Just think that those girlies spend hours riding the horses in the winter and stay nice and warm.

being a sexist pig, i always though it was the bouncing up and down on certain "ladyparts" that kept their cheeks nice and rosy and a private mona lisa smile on their faces?
im disappointed its just warm clothes.

and what the hell is a "numnah"? im assuming its some sort of sheepskin seat cover, but it could just as easily be some sort of security blanky?

I have a sheepskin Butt Pad I use on long journeys, definitely does help prevent numb nuts, it doesn't have padding but mine is cut to fit a dual sport saddle with a loop that goes over the horn and a strap which goes under the seat.
Got it from these people: Untitled Document

I loved my sheepskin buttpad from Alaskan Leather. Used it on a 3 week 6300 mile ride last summer and made for a much more comfortable saddle, unfortunately it was stolen with the bike (wr250r) over new years. I'll be ordering a new one soon enough though.

Sheepskin

I got me a sheepskin from New Zealand 2 years ago. The "natural" stuff, plain and easy. Trimmed it a little and just put it on the seat without any extras (i.e. straps and so on). Just sliding it under the strap that's between the rider and the pillion. It does make a difference especially on longer rides! Can only highly recommend! And besides everything else, doesn't it look GREAT?!?! Something like the old Mongolians used!!

I think I would go for the stuff proposed by the guys from Alaska :) I specifically like the idea of a sheepskin with the gel pad! I guess it's a little pricy but I really want to feel comfortable on my bike. This thing does the lot: the sheepskin keeps you cool in the hot and warm in the cool and the gel pad gives you that additional comfort eliminating stress points under your bum :)

Strongly considering it !

Thanks for the info!
Andy
