Seats for A KLR

I'm curious about the different seats available for my '91 KLR. I'm considering buying a Corbin seat, but I've read many mixed reviews about their Dual sport model. I'm also thinking about the GEL seat insert that is available from Dual Star.

Does anyone have any comments about the Corbin seat, or the Gel insert from Dual STart? Or even a completely different seat that works well?

Scott

Russell Day-Long saddle is a favorite with many "Iron-Butt" riders...

Seat is custom built to your size and weight.

I haven't heard all that much great about Corbin's. Russell for other models (mainly BMW's) but wasn't aware of any KLR stuff. I'd love to replace mine on the cheap. Anyone had any succuss DIY?

Hello All,
The gel seat from Travelcade is the best for the KLR650. Retails at Dual-Star for $160. One of the best investments an adventure tourer could make. The Corbin is O.K. but not nearly as comfortable. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking of getting a KLR aswell and have been wondering about alternative saddles. Checkout http://www.dualsportnews.com/klr/klrsaddle.html
for a longish list of saddle reviews suitable for KLR. I think I'm leaning towards the Russell Day Long aswell although it is pricy
