Remotely mounted radar detectors
I want to get a remotely mounted radar detector for my KRS. My dealer sells the K40 and mounts it inside the fairing, and K40's laser scrambler thing mounted just under the front of the fairing. It looks like a clean installation, but very pricey. Has anyone had experience with the K40, and/or other suggestions?

well if you want cheap...
i mounted a bell radar detector on the front master cyc with velcro and a mini bungie to keep it in place during wheelies i can easily remove it an use it in the jeep on road trips for 150usd you get a decetector that runs aa on batteries or ac and has a remote speaker that i tucked in my helmet in the cheekpad right by my ear i know this is not at all like you described but i fiugred that i am [as well as two other ridding buddies] very happy with the set up so you may like it too good luck ------------------ surly
