protection?
After reading numerous articles i have not found any mention of firearms or firearm laws... doesn't anyone ever carry a small pistol in the event of robbery? to all the veterans out there, would buying a pistol be a good or a bad idea, say for just a trip in the US?

You'll need to look in the "Jo Momma" section towards the bottom of the page & do a search. I'm not sure how much of it is bravado & bullshit but there are quite a few guys there who certainly know their guns. Coming from the UK, it's quite scary reading some of the comments. My personal belief is that if a gun is ABSOLUTELY necessary, then I'm in the wrong place to begin with. Steve
