Oil temperature gauge?
I such an item genuinely useful, or just a supplier of superflous information.Do they show whether an air-cooled is overheating (thereby overheating the oil), but as my xt6e doesn't have an oil-cooled head/barrel (unlike, say, a GSXR) is the oil temp a useful gauge?

It was cheap to make and it worked OK, but it made me paranoid. I ripped it out in the mountains of Flores somewhere. Its a much nicer riding experience without it now. That shows only ½ the truth...
Install an oil-pressure gauge as well: Swedol items http://handla.swedol.se/images/large/HK-3011.jpg Just check that the gauge fit your oilpressure system. As the opil get warm the pressure drops. As the oil get old the pressure fails to rise as high... good/usefull gadget -
