Michelin Deserts: milage on tarmac?

Driving both on tarmac and off-road from holland to senegal. Does a recommended type like the michelin desert cope with this, or should i change tyres once in maroc?

I got 12,000km out of Michelin T63´s on/off road anmd that was fully loaded, so I´d expect similar from Deserts. .

I did the same trip this year and used Metzeler Sahara until Dhakla (by which time the back one had almost worn out) then changed to Michelin Deserts from there to Gambia (with a lot of touring around in between) and there's at least half the tread left on them. The only drawback is the hassle (and potential danger) of having to carry the extra set of tyres. I'm considering Continental Twinduros for next time.

Have a good trip
