DID VM or ZVM X Ring chain??

Hi guys, i am about to buy a new chain and sprockets for my XTZ660 for and around Australia trip. I have decided to go with Chain Gang Steel sprockets and a DID chain. After doing some search's on this forum it seems that the DID VM X ring is the way to go. But the guy at Chain Gang said i should go for the DID ZVM X Ring, which is $220, $80 more than the VM X Ring. His argument was that the ZVM would be better suited to the conditions i will be putting it through such as long continuous riding, and all the dusty sandy roads i will be taking as well as i will be doing allot of offroad riding aswell.
So my question is he right in suggesting the expensive and high quality DID ZVM X Ring?, or is the DID VM X Ring fine?
I just seems that the ZVM is a bit of overkill for a 660cc, and that from what i have found in this search is most use the VM for 650cc bikes, some doing even tougher trips than me.
Whats your opinion?, is the ZVM worth the extra $80 for my application.
Thanks
Brad

ZVM is not needed!

You've probably seen some of my rants about

Both are good, just in these chain's you really get what you pay for.
The ZVM just lasts longer then the VM, i pay'd the extra cash.
sprockets don't seem to wear that fast until the chain starts to wear.
