Conti TKC 80's on a 250?? Anyone done it?

I am looking for some 50/50 or 70/30 road biased tyres for the spare set of rims on my Kawasaki KLX 250

Has anyone fitted Conti TKC 80's onto a little bike like a 250? Or are they solely designed for 600cc's plus?

The front originally was 3.00-21 51P but I am led to believe this will convert to a 90/90-21

The rear originally was 4.60-18 63P again i'm informed this will convert to a 120/90-18

Does anybody know how I can work out what tyre I would need to fit on a 19" rim?

Thanks in advance

JJ

Hi,

I used TKC's in my Yamaha TTR250.
Made several tracks in Portugal and went to Morroco. I found the tyres very good.

I would see this the other way round. I had TKCs on an XT350 back in the day, and was very surprised to see them fitted as OEM to the big GSs. I had assumed they were for smaller trail bikes, and were too knobbly for a big heavy bike.

Thanks for the replies ... going to try Bridgestone Trailwings TW301 and TW302 ... and the potentially move to Mefo Sport Explorer tyres.

Shall see what she is wearing at the HUBB :)

I have a Mefo Explorer on the rear of my CCM, its a good tyre but does slide a bit on poor tarmac and non porous surfaces (drain covers).
