Heading back to Morocco with a mate who has a DRZ. Going to try going further off the beaten track than last time, travel light etc.
My mate is trying to pursuade his girlfriend and a friend to drive his van down (bikes in the back to S. Spain) and while they are being sold carpets in the towns we will be blasting about on our lightly laden bikes but with the back up of a good toolkit, a few luxuries etc. carried by the girls in the van. It all sounds a bit Ewan and Charlie (but with less crying) and more supported off-roading than true adventure touring but should be good fun.

I had one of those smallish ammo boxes (not the smallest one, the one up from that) on the back of the bike but it a) wasn't big enough and b) had nasty right angled edges and corners which just seemed to be waiting to crunch catastrophically into my spine during one of my not infrequent crashes. Having walked (OK hobbled, and it was a week later) away from one broken back I'm a little paranoid about it and would like something with rounded edges.

Oh, and it's got to look cool, I hate those black plastic bubbles which seem to be the only option in my price range. I need something which goes with my artfully distressed alu boxes.

I'm willing to spend up to circa £50.

I have a sheet of aluminium in the garage but think making curves might be beyond my skills.

Thanks for any input.

Matt, IMHO, ''cheap'' + ''sexy'' + ''topbox'' are a contradiction in terms.

OK, the top box bit might throw a spanner in the works but I think cheap can be sexy if you are in the right mood...

theres no such thing as a "sexy" topbox, but they are too damn handy to worry about how you look.
