Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events such as this one (18 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or
to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and

Equipping the Bike - what's the best gear?Anything to do with the bikes equipment, saddlebags, etc. Questions on repairs and maintenance of the bike itself belong in the Brand Specific Tech Forums.

How often to lube? As often as the chain appears dry. But how to do this in the rain or dry and dusty? Simple, just find a oil injector tank off a old japanese two stroke. Attatch it to the rear rack and insert a small valve in line and positon the end of the line in front of the rear sproket and lower chain interface. Fill the tank with anything from gear oil to chainsaw bar oil to used engine oil. Adjust the valve to a slow drip that will lube and clean your chain and ride. Yes the back of your bike will get oily but your chain and sprokets will live.
