I have seen several motorbikes in Geneva carrying skis which, although lighter, are similarly improbable motorcycle luggage items!

These were carried upright, standing on their tails, strapped in a frame resembling small open-topped panniers with an additional securing/stabilising tubular brackets about a foot higher.

It's been done, there was a mention in performing berks magazine a few years ago, two blokes went golfing in Spain, from the uk, travelling on honda blackbirds. (cbr1100)

They got a lentgh of large bore plastic pipe (18"?), got bungs for the ends, attached them from the pillion seat, across the rear rack, and out behind the bike by a couple of feet. Customs showed a bit of interest, but the idea worked well.

I've carried a 30 foot ladder. :blushing:

And a double wardrobe flat pack:ban:

And usually have a cocktail cabinet :D

So, if I did want to ruin a good walk by whacking a little while ball round, I guess I could. To be honest though, I'm really not into golf. I never seem to be able to do that one where the sails on the windmill block the hole.

I do have a sidecar though :biggrin3:

Ok, this is cheating...

Ok, I'm cheating, we took a car... .
A golf club doesn't seem too bulky, so finding a place should be doable.

I never played golf, except on our three month trip in Central Asia last year. We drove a car, so that's cheating, but it sure was fun kicking a bal so now and then... .

Clubs or clubs?

It just crossed my mind that elprime, in asking about golf clubs, was actually referring to the Clubs rather than the 'bats'.

The only Golf Clubs I know do not welcome motorcycles beyond the carpark.

Pity, because with all that grass, hills and patches of sand I could see much motorcycling potential:D

LOL

Golf clubs?????

OMG, is this what it has come to? This is the direct result from Charle Boooorman and Ewe Whatsisname.

Why do u want to carry Golf Clubs on a bike anyway? Really, if you want to you can strap them on, whats the problem??

If your traveling, WHY???????? Rent the bloody things!!

Come on guys, what is this site for? travelers or weekend warriors???

Robbert,
Much respect for your dress sense: the right and impeccable dress for every occasion.

Pete,
Maybe it was an AT on a Paraglider? Either way, it had to be great fun.
