Breaking Fog Lights

I am starting a RTW trip in may with a large portion on of it through Africa. So it is not a question if but how many times my bike will be dropped. I want to add an additional set of lights but I am afraid they will break off relatively easy. Being how these lights are not cheap (anywhere from $300-$1000) I am not sure it is worth it.
Please weigh in your opinion and if you have them and how they have held up.
Thanks
Josh

The general rule is: everything that you yorself screw to your bike will eventually come off.
Next, a good principle is never to ride in the dark in these countries. So, no extra lights required. Taillights and brake lights, yes you should have them, but don't expect others to.
A good choice for the headlight is one of those illegal 100 W rally bulbs. They are stronger, not only in output, and will last trip.
