Bigger tank for Enfield wanted

I have an Enfield electra, despite doing 94 mpg I would like to extend the range as it only has a 14.5 litre tank, into which I can only put 11.81 litres. Seems to be about right, as I could never put more than 18 litres into the 22 litre BMW tank.
Hitchcocks do an 18 litre tank, and I have heard of but never found for sale 20 and 22 litre tanks. I just want to extend the rage from 250 miles to a comfy 300, as that is the distance between me and the ferry ports.

regards

Hi Larry
Have you checked what sort of fitting your tank uses? The tank on my 1995 robin enfield uses one bolt down through the top on the rear bracket, and on my 2000 hatz enfield I can't remember the fitting but know it IS different, when I was looking for a larger tank there were some on ebay, I never went down that route as they were prepainted and I needed to weld in a leak off pipe,in the end hubb user Matt Pope went to India on business and asked if 'anyone' required anything, Matt is a 'top bloke' and you never know, may be going back to India again, good luck in your search, btw I am not sure what the capacity is, but it is a fair size.

My tank is held on with two bolts that pass through flanges. one set at the front and the other rear. The holes are rubber bushed.

I live in west France, but will be visiting UK early October.
This is to fit an Electra, maybe a call to hitchcocks will tell you if it will fit. What size / colour is it?
