Big Feet Big Boots

Having size 13 (UK) feet is no fun, my first biking boots were ALTBERG clubman, great waterproof leather 3/4 length. Custom made. That was a few years ago, so when a pair of moto-x boots size 13 came on E-bat, I got em for £50 brand new. Is it right that I can not bend my foot to get under the gear lever on my R1200GSA ? No way can I get my foot under the damn lever. I guess the only answer is a gold plated extending lever from those Germantech boys????? OR have you got any advise.
