Vstrom Hand guards!

In an effort to ride in the cold weather that is Chicago winter, I have just installed the handguards from a Vstrom onto my 85 Honda V65. It took a little work, but the effort has paid off enormously. I just got back from 100 miles in 30 degree weather, and my hands are comfy as can be. I'm sure all of you know this already, but damn, what a difference two pieces of plastic make. Any of you out there looking for a way to keep your hands from freezing, definitely look into it.

Ifeet. A kind of Taunau (sp) cover. They all had them. They ride year round.

You know, I've looked into making some heated grips. I'll probably make it one of many small projects for next winter. For now just having the brushguards is good for me. Granted I wear some pretty great gloves too, but I rode to work today in 28 degree weather and must say there are no complaints here. Now if only my little pannier rack would get back from the powder coaters...
