voltage converters
I'm looking for recommendations on voltage converters. Specifically I'll be looking to convert Central and South American 220v to the
110v used in the usa. I seem to be a slave to my electronic gadgets! Thanks, Hugh |

That's a really tough one, it depends on the gadgets and their requirements. Most laptops today come with dual voltage adapters included. Other stuff is a little trickier - try the manufacturer and see if they have dual-voltage power supplies available, that would be the best way to go.
Failing that, try Magellan's for that kind of thing, probably the best bet. (Yes we are affiliated, 'cause they are the only place that is seriously into this stuff) (Try very hard not to carry any more than you really need, and use AA batteries and charge them off the bike where possible) Another source is PowerQwest they also have solar chargers and universal adapters and inverters etc. Good luck, let us know what you find. ------------------ Grant Johnson Seek, and ye shall find. ------------------------ One world, Two wheels. www.HorizonsUnlimited.com [This message has been edited by Grant Johnson (edited 07 May 2002).]
