Thoughts On T-MAX Double pump Vs Viair 440P compressor

Hello there!!

I bet there is a thread somewhere for this but i am new here.

This is my story, i am about to buy a portable compressor and i am not sure which one to buy is it the VIAIR 440P or T-Max double pump (with a very interesting price on several UK sites )

I think in terms of CFM T max delivers 3,88 and Viair a little more.

My usage will be for my next overland to Marrocco plus other simple tasks.

I think if T-max fills me each tyre from 0 to 35 PSI in 5 minutes it wont be for me the end of the world.

The price difference is huge in Portugal:

T-max is price @ 160 Euros

Viair is priced @ 332 Euros

therefore i am in need of your valuable experience if somebody has purchased the T-max double pump and if you can tell me if it is a reliable equipment on price quality basis.

I would realy appreciate your feedback.

Happy Travels,

Che

I have had one T-Max compressor (clone of 400P) and it was quite crappy piece of gear (very low quality workmanship and cheap technical solutions, although from distance looks the same as Viair). Later I bought Bushranger branded real Viair 400P and it's quality is much better. Price difference was about 3 times. If you are not in big hurry and don't use it every day, 400P is enough to inflate tires (I have 235/85R16), bigger ones get quite costy.
