Tesco & Lidl

Well just came out of Tescos, & they are selling a domed 4 man tent £30 they got blow up air bed things £10 & and an array of Fart sacks as well.

Of course a tent for £30 will not be the best in the world but will give something to use while you think about which 1 to buy for seroius work.

Lidal Have there motorbike gear for sale my last jacket i got 4 years ago from there still keeps me bone dry geting a bt tatty now, but worth the £
allways kept me Dry & Warm. best £50 I spent, might just get a new 1 :-)
my gf got the same + waterproof trousers they are made of simler quality as well.
Worth a look

I have had the 4 man and a 2 man from tesco a couple years ago, they are ok but not great would be worth it as an emergency tent but I would not want to use it all the time not the most weatherproof of tents, but then we used it on west coast of scotland where it was very heavy rain.
Lidl on the other hand have some great kit now and again including stuff like thermals or that no sweat breathable lower layers know a few folk who swear by them instead of the very expensive brands.

Hi, i bought a 3 season sleeping bag last summer from Tesco for £30 which packs really small. Used it for 2 months with no problems. Andy B

Hi, I would suggest that you ignore this years motorcycling offers at LIDL. I too bought the cordura gloves a couple of years ago and they were mint... they still are but getting tatty. I thought "i'll get another 2 pairs when they next do an offer". I have to tell you fellas: their gloves (this year) are crap. Large has fingers over and inch too long. Medium, have finger widths so tight that you wont even get your fingers in. The bike cover this year is so flimsy and light that the wind will blow it off (as it did for me last night).

I cannot vouch for the trousers and other stuff, I only went for gloves and a bike cover. I would usually agree but I had been patiently waiting for this offer for months. I was sourly disappointed.

Have to agree with the above,i got the jacket/trousers and whatnot in LiDL
a few years ago, still going strong BTW.They have new stock in at the moment, and the quality is fairly bad compared to what they used to have.
Jackets,gloves etc.,seem poorly stitched,ill fitting,cheap velcro fastening.
Thermals still seem worth getting though.:thumbup1:

I got a jacket a couple of years back can't fault it.:scooter:always worth giving any jacket a good wash with some Nikwax TX 10 or equivilant as it makes most garment surfaces water proof again. Just done my Canvas warm weather jacket that never was waterproof and the water just flows off the thing now:clap:

Surely the jackets are CE Approved which would mean they will have to have meet a minimal standard on the stitching etc if this was not the case you would be entitled to a full refund as the jacket would not be fit for purpose.
